The Drumming Empowerment Mastermind Program

I am hand picking between 10 and 15 students for a special 6-month online djembe mastermind program I am calling the Drumming Empowerment Mastermind (DEM). 

The program is tailored to students who have some prior experience but are looking for a game changing boost of skills, knowledge, and confidence. 

The DEM program includes:

• Djembe Calisthenics (warm ups, strengthening exercises, endurance exercises);

• Technique Intensives (getting those notes to SING!); Rhythm Embodiment (chanting/body rhythms to embody patterns beyond the brain);

• Rhythm Enlightenment (going deeply into rhythms of the African diaspora and applying all of the above while learning them). 

The program includes: 

• one lesson per week on ZOOM for 1.5 hours; 

• two OPTIONAL zoom room coaching sessions with me for questions, clarifications, feedback or requests;

• exclusive membership in a community learning platform via the Skool app, where folks in the program can chat, practice, share, and access learning materials such as practice videos. 

The program is for: 

People who love African drums and rhythms; people who have had some introductory level experience playing them but want to gain more knowledge, skills and confidence; people who want the flexibility of learning online (from home) in a community setting; and people who want to put in committed time and effort (about 3-5 hours per week) to grow in leaps and bounds over the course of a six month period, towards the goal of being able to lead community drumming activities in their local areas.

What is the selection process?

I am hand selecting students via calls. During the calls I will assess the student’s current experience, goals, expectations, coachability, and commitment level while also answering questions about the program and my goals in initiating it.
